I say a prayer for the masses.

I search for answers through the ashes.

How many more to the caskets

Before these verses reach the masses?

Our post is here on the coast.

Our home is where we all roam.

He might be homeless but not useless.

He might be starving, but he's still surviving.

She continues to toil on the coil.

His life in setbacks, he stays strong.

Is there an end to his struggle?

When will she find an end to her battle?

I talk the talk. I work to walk it.

I step and dance it without music.

We don't always get everything we need.

But we must live to be whom we must be.

So many encounters on every turn:

We find a way each and every day.

I see my dreams. I keep my vision.

You can halt me, but you won't stop me.

I tried to give you everything.

When I didn't have it, I still gave it.

My heart is broken cuz I still love you,

But I must go to be be whom I should be.

Each time I stand, I keep falling.

Each time I run, I keep walking.

Whenever I put in all my reason,

I can't find it; there is no meaning.

The voices of reason: these verses are for the masses!

We came this far so we could tell it

Cuz the downfall of a man is not the end of his life.

So respect the living, and honor the dead.

These verses are indeed for the masses.
